CONFIRMED! GM Releases Official Shots, First Details of 2008 Vauxhall Antara

2008 Vauxhall Antara. Dress it in Saturn badging and you've got the '08 Vue.

Interior is slick-looking. Right-hand drive still freaky to U.S. readers.

GM today released the official photos and first details on the 2008 Vauxhall Antara. The Antara will get a twin over at Opel and for Saturn watchers in the US, the big news is that you're looking at the 2008 Vue.

The Antara features a monocoque body structure, transversely mounted engines, and a nicely appointed interior featuring optional navigation and Bluetooth integration. The launch engine is a 2.0L turbodiesel producing 150HP. A second, 2.4L gasoline -powered engine with 141HP will follow later and be positioned as the entry model.

Antara will make its world debut at the Paris Auto Show this September.

I know it's just a couple of photos, but I have to say that the Antara is impressive-looking. Saturn fans (and dealers) should be very happy this morning. When we get this as the 2008 Vue, I think it'll have no problems finding its way into suburban garages.
