BMW's "The Hire" Series On DVD. For Free.

Back in 2001, BMW launched one of the flashiest promotional campaigns undertaken by a major company in recent memory. They produced a series of big-budget, high-quality short films called The Hire. Executive produced by David Fincher, and starring Clive Owen as The Driver, each film was made by an A-List director. John Frankenheimer, Guy Ritchie, Wong Kar-Wai, Ang Lee, and Alejandro González Iñárritu signed up to make the first five chapters in the series.

In 2002, three more films were added to the series. The directors involved were as impressive as any of the original five: John Woo, Joe Carnahan, and Tony Scott.

At BMWFILMS.com, you can order a copy of The Hire on DVD. For BMW owners, it's free. For non-owners, the only charge is a modest $3.75 shipping and handling fee. If you haven't seen the films yet, all are viewable for free at bmwfilms.com, so you can try before you buy.

Make sure you hurry, though. The Hire's online run is coming to an end on October 21. You have until then to see the films online and order your DVD. After that, you're outta luck!
